Resumo
Este estudo teve a finalidade de mostrar aos agricultores que o mogno-africano é uma espécie que se adapta bem a diversas condições de clima e solo, oferecendo um alto retorno financeiro num período relativamente longo. Associado a outras culturas apresenta um alto índice de viabilidade econômica. Sua madeira por ser considerada nobre, agrega valor até na terra onde esta plantada, valorizando ainda mais a escolha desta espécie. Existem também programas que visam reduzir o desmatamento e ampliar a área de florestas cultivadas uma vez que o Brasil caminha para um “Apagão Florestal”.
