Resumo
A falta de chuvas tem conduzido o Brasil e, em particular, a região Sudeste, a uma situação difícil. A crise hídrica que estamos vivendo neste final de período úmido 2014/15 é inédita e traz consequências econômicas e sociais. Em vários campos, como na geração de energia elétrica, no abastecimento das cidades, e na agricultura, vivem-se muitas dificuldades decorrentes da falta de chuvas. Cerca de 72% da água captada no país vai para a produção agrícola, o que está em linha com a média de 70% no mundo, segundo a ANA (Agência Nacional de Águas). A metodologia utilizada para a realização do trabalho foi um pesquisa bibliográfica, como objetivo discutir o problema da falta de água na agricultura e seu reflexo no pequeno produtor.
