Resumo
Simuladores ou emuladores de redes são ferramentas utilizadas para simular equipamentos que possibilitam o funcionamento de redes de computadores, possuindo a capacidade de criar topologias e fazer a investigação do comportamento da rede, sem que haja a necessidade de meios físicos para tal finalidade, diminuindo assim, os custos para a aprendizagem prática. Entretanto, existem diversos tipos de ferramentas que possuem funcionamento e características específicas e, em consequência disso, este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma análise comparativa a fim de auxiliar profissionais da computação na escolha e utilização de alguns simuladores de redes. A metodologia de pesquisa utilizada envolve análise bibliográfica e comparativa sobre os assuntos envolvidos. Espera-se apresentar diretrizes e recomendações de como escolher e utilizar simuladores de redes em determinados contextos.
